Yes, riding is not always fun and games, especially when you crash. Trials is one of those sports where you're competing against yourself both mentally and physically. And sometime you lose. Either your physically or mentally tried and your body fights back to say "No, I can't do this!" this is when you usually fall. At this point in time when you're falling you enter a pure survivalist mode where your life is in your hands. If your reaction time and technique for falling is good then it can end well, if not then it can end in disaster. But from every disaster there comes a life lesson. Over the many years of crashing under my belt I have learn many basic lessons. Here are a few: Your level of energy and fitness matters. Muscle memory is key; don't force what you are trying to do, if it doesn't come out naturally then practice more before you but yourself in a dangerous situation. Do not have an out of body experience when your riding, stay focused. Replace your chain and handle bars regularly. Wear a helmet. Hopefully you can take these lessons I have learned through crashing and hold them in your mind so you yourself don't have to go through the crashes similar to what I have.
